BATS began service on December 1, 2000 and provides more than 14,000 rides each month.

BATS offers several types of service for your transportation needs.  The scheduled route service includes the Red Line that travels north and south along Highway 95, and the Blue Line that travels east and west.  Riders board at designated bus stops located along the routes.

The Green Line provides service to the northern area of the City, including McCormick Blvd., sections of the Parkway, and Katherine Heights.  It operates as a “deviated fixed route,” which means the bus travels along a set route at scheduled times and maintains scheduled stops where passengers may board.  However, this bus also deviates off the route to provide the equivalent of curb-to-curb service for prequalified curb-to-curb passengers who are unable to access the bus stop.  Customers requesting deviation from the Green Line fixed route must call at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance to reserve a ride.

The Red and Blue Lines connect at Safeway & Kmart.  The Red and Green Lines connect at the Riverside boat dock.  To use the Red, Blue and Green Line routes, simply look at the schedule for the location nearest your home or business, arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the scheduled time, and board the bus when it stops at the bus stop.

Bullhead Area Transit Service

The Dial-A-BATS service is a curb-to-curb service for seniors age 60+ or any person with a qualified disability.  This service is also available to individuals that live or whose destination is outside the scheduled route service area, or individuals whom the fixed route service is otherwise unable to accommodate.  Wheelchair lift-equipped vehicles are dispatched for our passengers with disabilities or special needs (please advise the dispatcher when making your reservation).  Twenty-four (24) hour advanced reservations are required and are on a first come, first serve basis; however, BATS will accept same day ride requests if space is available.  Advance reservations are taken up to 14 days in advance.  Please call 704-2287 to determine if you are eligible for this service.

A Laughlin Connection is also available for an additional charge and links BATS with Laughlin’s Silver Rider located at Casino and Laughlin Civic Drives in Laughlin, Nevada.

Maps and schedules are available from the driver or by calling the dispatch office at
(928) 704-2287 (BATS) or (866) 999-2287 or on the City of Bullhead City website at www.bullheadcity.com
